Required Mobile Wireless Developer

Betterlabs is looking for highly intelligent, enthusiastic engineers to build BetterLabs Mobile team in Pune. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work with agile team and build interesting Mobile 2.0 web services for future mobile world.

As a Core Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing & building interesting Mobile applications on various mobile platforms, including Symbian, Palm, Java, and Microsoft Smartphones.

On the team your duties will include:
-design and implement future mobile applications
-be individual coding contributor
-porting of applications to various platforms/devices
-keep and meet project schedules
-creative solutions for technical issues
-mentor new developers

Jobs Requirements:

Solid programming experience gained during internships, work experience, projects. Hands-on coding C/C++/Java applications for mobile handsets or Embedded development on mobile handset platforms (BREW, Symbian, Palm, Java or Microsoft Smartphones development environments)
Or
Clear evidence of academic and professional interest in developing advanced applications on wireless devices: Symbian, Java (J2ME MIDP2.0), Palm, or Microsoft Smartphone/PocketPC.

Knowledge of the popular wireless application technologies like MMS/SMS/mobile messaging, photo messaging etc.
Exposure to the delivery of successful client or server based applications through the full product lifecycle.

Comfortable with multi-tasking
enjoy a challenge and love working with a high quality team
Self-motivation & willingness/ability to learn new concepts and products quickly
Strong customer orientation.

Experience with extreme programming (XP) development practices a plus.
